Returns and refunds

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from Giovane Gentile. This policy explains how to change your mind, exchange a size, or return a faulty item. It applies to every order delivered in South Africa and Eswatini.

Changed your mind: 7 days

You may cancel an online order and return the goods for any reason within 7 days of receiving them, as the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act allows. We refund the full amount you paid for the returned items within 30 days of receiving them back. The only cost to you is the direct cost of returning the goods to us.

Please return items unworn and unwashed, with their original tags and packaging, so that we can offer them to the next customer.

Exchanges for size or colour

Within the same 7 days we will gladly exchange an item for another size or colour of the same style, subject to availability. Bring it to either store, or call us to arrange an exchange by delivery.

Faulty goods: 6 months

Under the Consumer Protection Act, if an item is defective, unsafe or not what was described, you may return it within 6 months of delivery. You choose whether we repair it, replace it or refund you. We collect faulty goods at our cost, or refund your reasonable cost of returning them. Normal wear and tear, and damage caused by misuse or by not following the care label, are not defects.

How to return

  1. Call us at +27 82 344 9300 (every day, 8am to 10pm) or email hello@giovanegentilesa.co.za with your order number, or visit our Johannesburg or Malkerns store.
  2. We confirm the return and tell you how to send or bring the items back.
  3. Once the items reach us, we inspect them and confirm your refund or exchange.

Refunds

Orders paid on delivery are refunded by electronic transfer to a bank account in your name. We refund within 30 days of receiving the returned items, and usually much sooner.
